Our Story

Founded in 2019 by designer and educator Brittany A. King. Brittany initially launched Sew Natural Hair Accessories, now known as the “Sew Rooted” Collection, with the intent to advance the representation of natural hair in apparel and hair accessories, beginning with our well known satin-lined hoodies! Through the years, Forever Resilient has expanded in its mission, acknowledging and honoring the rich history and contributions of marginalized and underrepresented communities, through the arts.

Brittany A. King is a multi-passionate creative force, who in 2019 merged fashion and education to create Forever Resilient. She is continuously taking the world by storm, exploring many different passions and seamlessly blending them together in a way that hasn't been seen or done before.

Her fierce spirit and optimistic outlook on life, has undoubtedly allowed her to continue forging her own path, turning the sense of unknown into a sense of
wonder/adventure and discovery and challenging others to expand their perspectives on what is possible.

Envisioning that life after college, having received a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood
Education, would lead to a career in teaching. Well that was the plan before Brittany came to the understanding that Narcolepsy would hinder her ability to pour
into her students in the way she believed they deserved.

 Prior to her pursuit to become a teacher, Brittany always held a great love for sewing and arts and crafts. Fueled by the desire to have the best of both worlds, her purpose of educating and her passion for fashion and design, she fused the two together and that was the beginning of an educational revolution.

With Forever Resilient, Brittany is revolutionizing the way we use arts in education. As a young, black woman entrepreneur, with Narcolepsy, she is proof that with the correct mindset and determination, anything is possible. Her heart is set on inspiring others to find the resilience that lives within.

Our mission is to provide a non-traditional approach to learning, through the arts, one that keeps learners engaged and is interactive and life applicable. We pledge to emancipate learners by fostering knowledge of self, creativity, core skills, financial literacy, holistic health and wellness, and diverse historical perspectives. We strive to redefine the narrative, spark convos, & foster inclusivity, cultivating a unique experience for all.

We won't stop at fashion. We leverage music, media, other art forms and technology to create a holistic educational experience. Our collaborations with musicians, filmmakers, and artists bring the stories of underrepresented communities to life. Through immersive multimedia experiences, we educate and inspire, promoting empathy, understanding, and social change.
